sorry i means w580 too
but many people says too, if they're didn't flashing main firmwre again, their phone won't start-up (many of k800i user)

try taking taking out your battery and putting it back in then try it . i got that error when i dint take the battery out first

OMFG I GOT PROBLEM,BIG PROBLEM,

21: Start phone up, wait until its fully booted. Start Menu -> Entertainment -> Games -> executor
When the screen goes dark, wait a moment, then remove the battery and put it back. DO NOT START AGAIN!

i accidently removed the battery right after i started it? how do i do? i cant start phone anymore, i remove battery, M2 card and my phone card, put battery back in, and it doesent work, what do i do?

i use FAR to edit, and i cant access ofs it gets stuck at "staring FS Server" what should i do?

Reinstalled Drivers after Uninstalling it already. Seems the error changed a little since the last time I tried...
This happened again after I copied the MAIN to the oflash:/ directory as a babe image (default option).
Guess I won't be able to do this unless I do this on my XP since I haven't installed any drivers on that PC.

Hey, what you're doing is fine. What you do then is access bflash and then flash the rest file and the qapatch. This should wake your phone up. If not then flash the main file and the qapatch. Then continue! Sorry been away for about a week!

I have a mac and I run windows xp through a virtual machine using parallels. Is there any reason that this would not work if I tried to flash using this setup?

Also, how much of a risk is there of bricking a phone doing this? As long as I follow the instructions exactly is there much that can happen that is irreversible?

Thanks! Working virtually will be fine. I do it myself under Linux. There should be no problems as long as you follow directions to the letter.

hmmm, i get stuck on step 21. I upload the files and then when i want to start the "executor" in Games folder, it says "Operation Failed"...
What should I do? pls help..

one question... I've went to topsony forums where they have patches for w580's, but they just have it all in txt. Do i just copy the whole code and save it as ".vkp" file?

I've had the same thing, i just deleted the files inside bflash and then disconnected the phone, took out and re-inserted the battery and then returned to the step where i have to upload the "Rest" file..
