How to flash K750 or W800 for free (only CID36) using DCU-60 cable

I suppose that you know what MAIN, FS files are and what region, CDA etc you'd like to have in the phone...

Flashing using Davinci 13.7 + SEFP plugin for FAR

1. Register at http://www.topsony.com and download needed firmware files (MAIN+FS)
Also you can find MAIN+FS EMEA1 files here, http://rapidshare.de/users/95WFQ (password is: senews.org)

2. Flash the phone using Davinci client 13.7 without finalization

3. Put the files from this archive to tpa/preset/custom folder in the phone using darkmen's plugin. Don't forget to edit customize.xml and put right CDA and other options

4. Enjoy!

What it is for? This way we can drive finalization procedure and put our own java/ssl certificates. Just copy your certificate file and edited customize.xml into that folder

P.S. #3 is that all known finalization/customization/complete (manually not automatically like in davinci/setool/etc )

P.P.S. Similar procedure is for old Kx00,S700

Should I replace the customize.xml with my original customize.xml or do I have to edit this file and change only what I need?

The data files of the certificates for example are different:

I flashed k750 to w800, everything went ok, start FAR, navigate k750 folders, all ok.
Now I must be stupid but I cannot copy files contained in complete.rar from right pane (folder containing files to be copied to phone) to left pane (k750:FS/pa/preset/custom folder): I select those files, press F5, copy to: k750:FS/pa/preset/custom folder, but i get a screen error saying I cannot copy. F1 help function says I could drag and drop files with mouse but that does not work
I tried moving instead of copying but no way...

For other newbies like me who could have the same stupid problem: to copy use F5 and leave SEPF as destination path.

Just a last question: after flashing k750 to w800 and having copied to phone files in complete.rar no master reset is needed, right?

Hello! I tried flashing using DaVinci 13.7 yesterday and all went fine. Then i finalized with the FAR plugin. I uploaded the certificates from the complete.rar archive but I am unable to install signed apps! I get "operation failed" when trying to install signed JAD files. I tried the master-reset option too but I'm stuck! Anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks!!

Take 4-th version of plugin for sertificater
There is bug with file attrs in 5-th - all files have NO_ACCESS attr? so certs will not installs on master reset.

Ahhh ok! Thanks a lot, i just did the upload with plugin version 4 and it works

Edit: Oops uhmm i was a bit quick. Well, the certificates now appear correctly in my lists and i can see the Halmer, SeNews certificates etc. However, I still can't install signed apps I get the "operation failed" error again. I have stored the JAD and JAR on my MemoryStick and installing from there. I did do a master-reset etc. What am I doing wrong?

PS: I have attached the log.txt file I found inside /tpa/preset. Maybe it can help. I see some errors in the file. Should I be changing my country to something else? Thanks!

Can I make finalization with Davinci, too? Will it work?

I think the Firmware from http://rapidshare.de/users/95WFQ is without branding, is that right? And which language is it? Or can I choose the language with the CDA?

What I want to do:
1.I downloaded the Firmware from http://rapidshare.de/users/95WFQ
2. I pathced the "Main", so that there will be no Operator Logo
3. I want to flash the Phone with Davinci AND Finalization with Davinci

Can I make it this way? Will I have an unbranded german Firmware afterwards?

When I make it like descriped: Do I only have to copy the files from complete.rar on the phone?
I Just have to change the customize.xml? Where can i get my CDA number then?
Is it possible, to use the old customize.xml, when I copy it before flashing?

I wouldn't be surprised if a cda error caused a security flag that disables the certs.

And I second your praise of Darkmen. The dude's a God as far as I'm concerned.

Can you take your old customize.xml from k750 copy it then flash phone then change cda, cda-rev and model (Are all necessary?) and just copy it back in?

Uhm about that certificate problem, earlier during the day the JAD files started working properly but I dont remember what I did (I may have done nothing either! ). Does anyone here happen to have an original K750i customize.xml?

re-read, then go back and re-read. Once you have done that, re-read everything again!!

Actually the instructions at the start are good - sending you more stuff won't help. You just need to assimilate everything.

The first thing to do is get far and the plugin installed, and then accessing the phones file system. Once you have that worked out, you can start to get creative.

can't download from rapidshare as my isp uses transparent proxy
