Despite not being Christian I find it hypocritical that the original meaning of Christmas is lost in a sea of marketing.
I dislike the whole material culture; I do NOT need another pair of gloves or another scarf or another book. All these items will sit in drawers for a year before being given to charity.
I detest Christmas music being played ad nauseum in shops.
I detest shops with the heating turned up full blast; packs of desperate men and women rampaging through them like wildebeest across the Serengeti and I loathe the plastered on smiles of people who would otherwise not give you a nod in the desert.
I do not enjoy sliding on my arse or freezing my plums off and being told that it is 'Christmas weather'; it is freezing is what it is!
I do not appreciate the panic that breaks out in my local supermarket on Christmas Eve because it will be shut for two days. There is no need to stock up on milk, bread or tinned goods because the shops will be shut for a couple of days; this is not wartime and there is no rationing.
I am fed up with having to duel with middle aged women with a crazed glint in their eye for a parking space at shopping centres.
I have played Santa Claus before and was extremely hot and uncomfortable having to wear a nylon beard and stuff a pillow underneath my jacket whilst spoiled little oiks demanded that I bring them horrendously expensive gifts.

I must definitely agree with you about some of those points, especially about the materialism and unnecessary hype, and if you meant fed up in that sense, then I too am quite fed up with it. You played Santa?

I can't help it's called like that. I don't see the offensive part in it anyway.
@ scots, I agree on the materialism part. My family just celebrates with small presents, some chocolate, a CD or something similar.
