Are you sure that the phone is completely powered off when you try plugging it in while holding the 'C' button?

You could always just flash new firmware to it (would be exactly like upgrading the firmware) by using XS++. If you need to know how to do that, you could follow the steps in my W810 Tutorial as they would be pretty similar if not 100% exactly the same.
Ok, why should I keep track of how many days I haven't used Winblows? I uninstalled it like a month ago... Linux = win ^^

Is it safe doing that?the reason i wanted the software to do it for me is because i know it will do it properly unlike myself manualy doing it and messing up and ending up with a brick phone lol

would i realy see any benifits to upgrading the firmware?

No problem. :)
The only thing I can think of now, is that you might not have the USB flash drivers installed correctly for your phone.

Using XS++ is relatively safe if you follow a tutorial, however you should use it as a last-option type of thing in this case as it will break your warantee.
If your phone is branded though, then I would suggest using XS++ to debrand it. :)
