Changing the images that appear when you connect (STARTUP_IMAGE_SEMC) and off (SHUTDOWN_IMAGE_SEMC) and Splash image that is the logo that appears when the cells turn on (the symbol of Sony with a white or black).

This procedure can be performed in any unit Sony Ericsson, but, you need the images according to the resolution of its type.

>> I used images 128x160 <<

We will need:
SEtool2Lite

1st Let's change the images that appear when you call or disconnect from the cell.
(STARTUP_IMAGE_SEMC and SHUTDOWN_IMAGE_SEMC)

To begin to prepare the images we need an option to turn off our computer:

Posted Image

Click "Folder Options" and "View".
Enable the option "Hide extensions for known file types."

Posted Image

Click "Apply."

Now, the extensions no longer appear.

Setting the image

Select the image and rename it:
1st The image that appears when the phone call, rename it STARTUP_IMAGE_SEMC and save the image.

The 2nd image to be used when disconnected the phone, rename it SHUTDOWN_IMAGE_SEMC and save the image.

"Note that both appear without the extension".
Changing image of Splash startup of our cell

Choose an image:Posted Image

What have you already changed the settings on your PC and now it shows no extension, rename the image that you chose to:

SPLASH

Sending the file

To send the file need to follow this directory:
tpa / preset / system / settings / Images that you chose
And enjoy!!! ;)

Can i check here, is splash the one displayed first, then startup_image_semc, or is it the other way round? And can they be animated gifs? They are gifs right?

edit: nevermind, worked out all my answers by decompiling FS and looking at the files there. Another question though, is there a limit to the length of the animated gifs? and can splash be animated?

Created SPLASH, STARTUP_IMAGE_SEMC and SHUTDOWN_IMAGE_SEMC using ms paint.net. The splash and shutdown work but not the startup. Both the original and my versions of the startup are animated gif's with the extensions left on. A2 uploader installed all without problem butit jumps from splash to standby w/o startup.

What is very strange is that after I reloaded the original startup it too wouldn't work. Can someone help. I'm not sure what to try next. W760 is 3150 which was debranded via Sharky's method.

Stupid me. The W760i has a display setting that enables me to change the startup to other files like pictures of videos. I returned the setting back to "default" and now the startup launches. Thank you for your reply, it forced me to think.
