I NEED HELP FIXING MY K750i Rate Topic: -----

well on my fone after about 2 months of usage my joystick just stoped working, so i look on the internet and it says u can fix it if u just orger a replacement one. to put in the joystick u need to take the phone apart i get to the part were u need to take off these brass clips (see attached image) the problem comes that the replacement joystick doesnt work at all and I cant get one of the clips back on I think i might have bent the clip. does anyone know wheere I could get it fixed?

@CALSBO

Have you taken a look at either of the K750 disassembly guides? Someone might have had a similar problem to yourself and posted baout it in one of those thread?

Failing that I think someone like gbrooks3, rabvtec or noj_tsuj would be best advising you.

I had the same problem, the clips appear to be distribution points. the left clip affects the left menu button and the left and up direction on the stick, and the right clip affects the numbers and remaining directions/buttons.

They are very important to the way the keypad connects to the motheboard. If you have damaged these they are nigh on impossible to get replacements for. I have asked SE if they would give them to me even if I was to pay, but they have refused and said I need to take my phone to a repair center which I really can't be bothered to do.

I would therefore look on ebay for a complete dead phone, and use the clips from that :)

i never knew the left brass clip effects left and up =\...i couldn't get it back on..i just left it unclip and its still fine =D

The left clip doesnt have to clip onto anything, it just needs to touch the copper contact on the underside of the keypad.

my eyesight is not good enough to deal with those pesky little clips so I didnt bother with putting them back at all .....seems to work just fine lol.

hmm, i had the bottom right one come off, i guess i was hoping for the best but ever since my lcd stopped working, maybe i need to buy another one, any other possibilities or recommendations? [i still hav the damn clip]
