I need to flash a W800. I used X++ which gave me the following info

it is the CID 36 that is troubling me. is this very old and can it be flashed using the cid 52? I will appreciate some advice please on the appropriate files to use.

CID36 is fine! The CID (K750/W800) are not upgradable anyway! You won't find any problems with free software as long as you can follow the right instructions.

You can use FAR Manager (plus SEPF plugins), GFlash, XS++3.1, JDFlasher & SETools older releases (not setool lite 1.11)

NOTE: the only thing (in terms of converting) you can do aside from VKP patching is upgrading your firmware. You can customized almost everything in it! Good Luck!

are these ok for my phone? which of the Main should I use? i live in the UK.

I have used X++ abd SeTool 1.11 before, i hav not used the others. I believe that I need to apply a patch to ublock the phone, is X++ capable of applying the patch? I seem to remeber having to switch from X++ to SeTool to unlock my K530i because X++ could not handle it.

Depends on what you wanna do to your phone. If you use that firmware, I would say you cant do a lot with it if you want patches etc (have you check the patches thread for w800?)

I would use:

http://www.iprotebe....ip-file492.html as the main
http://www.iprotebe....ip-file491.html as the FS
And use a europe 1 custom pack from XS++

EDIT: forgot to mention: if youre not signed up to the site, you will need to

This firmware allows you to have patches and elves, hence what the dfifference is.

XS++ is not capable of patching, and setool2lite 1.11 and setool2lite 1.08 dont support CID36 for patching (as Ive found out today), your best bet is probably FAR with the JD flasher plugin for patching
