Help Fix a K850 That Locks Up at Turn On. Rate Topic: -----

Hi
Can you please help me with my mate's K850i. Its A blue and silver one. It has R1EA031prg12004401_HONG_KONG_SO R1EA031 firmware one it.
The problem is when I turn it on it freezes The keyboard stays lit and the LED on the camera lense is lit. All the buttons do nothing and holding down the turn off biutton does nothing so to turn it off you have to take the battary out. Is there any way to flash it or change the firmware on it or anything? Sony says to update the firmware but it has the latest firmware so the updator does nothing. Thankyou for your help.

This is a common issue with K850i phones called BROD.
You will have to flash your phone using a online client.

yea, flash it to a newer firmware. i thought that R1EA031 firmware for K850 caused a lot of problems? and i'm also surprised to see you in here...

What online client do I use.
Or can u point me to a tutorial on how to flash it.

First of all, try updating the phone with SEUS.
If that doesn't work, use Kulan Kendi or DaVinci.

Update with seus does not work is there a free option. Is divinci free???
