First things first... I have a red cd52 db2020 walkman w580i...

I tried flashing it to debrand the phone. The computer successfully completed flashing the main file but while flashing the FS file, the computer paused and never got past block 190 (out of 209) even after I had waited about half an hour. The worst had happened; the flash had failed.

So now, when I try to connect the phone, the computer says that the USB device is not recognized and XS++ fails to connect to the phone.

What can I do?

I've backed up the GDFS, but that does me no good if the phone can't be recognized by the computer.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

UPDATE

Ha! I really am a noob. Sorry. I was able to figure out how to fix the problem. Removing the battery for a short time period before making another attempt seemed to allow the phone to be recognized. I should be able to successfully flash the phone now. If any moderators come across this topic, feel free to remove it.

There shouldn't be any reason for it hanging like that if your battery is charged and your computer is stable.

It could be your FS file. Try redownloading it if it fails again.
