I am not very good with the internet but moving to the Netherlands has made my life difficult as I have no job. So I have decided to set up an online store to sell some graphic recourses and what nots but I need your help.

Where can I get a nice domain or free website. Well actually I do have SE Goodie's server which NevilleX so nicely gave me which I can use but I want to be able to set up a nice shop site with maybe a blog or something and of course a gallery for my art works.

Can anyone help me?

*dreaming of a kjherstin.com site*

and I can't do much coding either

freewebs is a nice free host, but you'll get a xxx.freewebs.com domain + hardly any options for layouts...

I have my own website myw580i.eu and it's hosted by Strato (the best host) for 7€ each month with domain name included (.com .eu .nl .biz .whatever)

EDIT: Coding is not needed, you can use joomla for your webpage (like I did, you'll get a blog and a downloads section can be added) BUT it's not a shop xD
I'm not really into online shops but Im sure there is some free software for shops.

how come you cant find a job in holland?

anyway some servers like freewebs have site templates so you only have to personelize it....

They just say I don't have work experience. I have been turned down too many times, I went into a depression. Now I am learning Dutch at high school so working at home is the best solution.

At the moment I have a portfolio site at: http://kjherstin.segoodies.com so I do "have" a free server, I just don't know any coding and how to set up an online store. It was hard enough getting my portfolio up but a nice guy at deviantart put up that code to share with others. As for kjherstin.com, I will purchase that in the future

I have tried all those mentioned but I don't really like them for an online shop. Freewebs has not one decent template. i don't really like their interface and the New Zealand site gave me a server error twice...not promising. I guess I know I can google for one but it would be nice to know if someone has actually set up an online shop and suggest some really good ones.

I don't want to spend money initially. It has to be free

I personally would go for paid ones. Usually, if you get a good paid e-commerce site, they will include everything needed, the web security certificate used by browsers and servers to encrypt data so that confidential information (credit card numbers, etc.) can not be eaten up by hackers on the way to their destination.

However, those don't come cheap. A good one in Singapore costs about SGD$600, with 256-bit AES encryption.

You should also decide on the payment method; if you're not going for those credit card type of stuff, you can leave the encryption and get them to mail or some similar form of contact to you.
Or you can just paypal...

You can use www.110mb.com... they offer about 3GB storage, lots of bandwidth, easy to install scripts (just click add, and boom! done). Then you can fill out ads for a free domain name from www.domainlagoon.com... they are actually legit, I used a free domain from them for 2 years, and they forgot to cancel it and gave me 3 years. Also, you can do that stuff through 110mb.com. If you ever need any help with anything, you can use 110mb.com's message board to ask questions... they are VERY helpful.

(I have used everything mentioned above, so it DOES work)
Ok, why should I keep track of how many days I haven't used Winblows? I uninstalled it like a month ago... Linux = win ^^

You cannot do e-commerce with a blogshop.

http://freedomain.co.nr/ to be more exact.

Just the domain though. No webspace and such.
