OK, so I nearly bust a blood vessel trying to get this damn thing off. Am I missing something here? Is it normal for it to be so £*$%ing hard to take off?

If so, whyyyyyyyy and is there any way around it?

Can't get mine off either. I read somewhere its meant to be easier than the K750i. Like bull it is !

Nearly had to send the phone back the same day as i couldnt read the number on the SIM due to the cover being jammed on. Luckily Orange managed to conect my new SIM without the number. Not sure how im gonna get it off if i do deiced to go ahead and change the back and middle but it may have to be cracked off its so darn tight !

yeey my first post! :newhere: i don't have a w810 but i can suggest you to read this from the M-R review: "The back cover hides the battery compartment and has no backlash. You will find it now opens much easier, just press the Walkman logo and pull the cover."

Good Luck :)

And if you cant get it off and have to break it atleast you can buy them sperately from a full housing and by itself. It could be a common problem, considering you can buy them seperately here for under £5. :)

As stated above, press the Walkman logo in and push. I never had any difficulties removing the battery cover when I had my W810i. Strange!

Dumb question I know, but how hard should I have to push? I can feel my head start to throb cos I'm pushing that hard. I even know one bloke with a bit of arthritis (can never spell that) in one hand who can't open it at all.

Assuming I can open it, is there any way to make it easier in the future without damaging it?
