Hey guys, I'm just after returning my old sony ericsson w580i because of faults and have decided to use my mums old w200i.
In 2 weeks time when I come back from holiday I plan to enable flash themes on the mobile.
But the problem is that when I did this to my two previous phones the internet would not work and I could not get 'important o2 numbers (customer helpline etc.).

Please can you tell me why this is and what I can do about it.

My phone is a w200i, black, o2 uk.

Simple really: you flashed your FS along with your main right? That wipes out pretty much all of the phones data, so you will need to get the settings etc from o2 after you have flashed the phone

If you dont want to lose your contacts again I suggest you either back up to the memory stick, or, better still for those important text messages, use myphoneexplorer to backup everything thats in your phones memory, then you can just restore the backup and everything will be replaced. This program, however, doesnt save the internet and mms settings

As phonetech said, you should be able to get your GPRS/EDGE/MMS settings from your service provider. Try googling or something.

In Singapore here you just need to dial a number to get your settings sent to you via SMS after you reply to a message with your phone model.
