W300i White Screen of Death Fix (US) Rate Topic: -----

I had my SE W300i lose all function and display a white screen as I began file transferring. It would not turn off with out taking the battery out, and it would go back to a plain white screen when I turned it back on. I pieced information together from this and a couple other sites. I don't know much about this stuff, but if you're in the same situation this worked for me.

I installed XS++3.1 from this site. I downloaded the w300i R9A036 unlock patch from this site as well. I also downloaded the drivers for the phone (US) at "http://www.badongo.com/file/7669916". I started XS and plugged in the drivers: FS (.fbn file) and Main (.mbn file), and plugged in the unlock patch in the patch menu. I flashed the phone (with the SIM and M2 cards removed). Then I replaced them and started the phone up. it miraculously came back to life.

After a lot of reading I figured it out. The actual process was pretty simple. My phone works again. Thanks to everyone posting in the site for helping me figure this out. I hope this helps others. I did it for free, too :)

Go to www.4shared.com and look it up you will find a few. I always get my firmwares from there. its free and quick download. just chose the right ones. you can find tons of stuff for se's by just searching the model.
