Hey, I'm curious if there's a way to delete the pre-installed GoogleMaps, so I can use the newest one that is installed in Applications, or I can just update the old one??

Thanks

Is it simply an installed application, have you tried pressing "c"?

"c" doesn't do anything on the W760i. I guess it doesn't matter, I just like newer updates etc.. I downloaded the new googlemaps to my phone and it doesn't use the GPS. So, don't fix whats not broken I guess. Thanks anyway.

So is the application built into the firmware rather than installed to the Applications folder?

It is in the Location services menu spot, and afaik it cannot be deleted.

In the firmware then. It is likely that that particular version will work better than the downloaded ones anyway as it has been tailored for the phone rather than being a generic software.
