Please if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

I dont think you understand. Everything was working fine until recently. Now my phone will not even read when I plug it in while its on, let alone XS++. The only way I can transfer files is by taking out my memory stick and using a card reader. Other than that the w580 is not recognized, ive tried other pcs as well..

The bit that you plug into the phone on the end of the cable.

Tried a different USB port? Tried pluggin' to another com?

Your results from those two should tell you the problem.

IF another usb port works, that usb port/controller is faulty. If the otherr com doesn't work, then it could be your wire/phone.

BUT does it work normally if you plug it in while your phone is turned on?

I have tried every possible way I could think of. I tried a different computer, different cable. It charges fine so its not the fastport.. And no it doesnt read even if I normally plug in, it just starts charging it. The memory stick can be read only by a card reader, so I transfer files that way. But I cannot access the flash or get any pc to recognize the phone...

Perhaps your wire is =(

Could be just the data transfer pins/wires, but your charging pins are working.

It most probably is though, what are the others' opinions?

I cleaned the fastport and inspected it, I noticed little marks on the last 4 pins but I think thats just from normal usage. Picture here

Hmm... Your picture isn't that clear. But it probably has to do with your fastport
