I just thought, that looking at peoples phone mods in their signature looks to cluttered... so instead, add this to your signature

<option selected>My Phone Mods:</option>
<option>Mod here
<option>mod here
<option>etc.

The only problem is that either BB code or HTML needs to be enabled in signatures

Anyway, the code above will create a drop-down menu/list of whatever you decide to put next to <option>. Ofcourse, more <option> tags can be added, freeing up LOTS of space in signatures. An example would be here: http://venomlist.com...?showtopic=5216

The first poster has the drop-down list.

So, what do you guys think? Personally, I think it will make everyones signatures look cleaner (if they have mods).

BBcode is allowed in signatures. HTML is not, and will never be. If we'd do this, the maximum length of signatures would still be 1000 bytes, and no more than 4 lines of text, including empty ones.

Either way, I'd assume this requires the use of HTML in signatures, so it cannot be added.

The forum administrator can make custom bbcode tags.

e.g.

[option]{TEXT}[/option]
[option]{TEXT}[/option]
[/select]

Then again, that is in phpBB3 terms, not sure about ipb.

if se-nse allow html code..some of these nonsense ppl will put in enormous html code on their sig..if u use too many of html codes, it will slow down the webpage to appear/reload..especially for those who still using the dial-up connection..enhance, the se-nse web server will be needed to have much bigger data storage if html code were allowed!

I'm not too sure how IPB works, but for phpBB, you can't really enable HTML without any mods. =X

Therefore I resorted to using the custom BBCodes way for my sites. =)

I guess even if HTML will not be allowed, even though my connection is pretty decent, the se-nse site seems to lag a lot compaired to other sites, and more than that, during the winter, when snow flakes roled down the page and solicited my CPU 100% the pages would load in 1-2 minutes if I didn't minimise at my every click and waited until the page would fully load

With access to ipb acp it's easy to add custom bb code, however it would look really ugly with comboboxes in signatures
