Okay, so first i just have to say, i called Sony Ericsson's US customer service line and i have to say that is the first time i have been disappointed by Sony. The lady was very rude and what not, but I'm not one to assume everyone that works there is that rude. Anyways...

I was looking at my w960i and i noticed a weird jelly coming out of the side of the screen. I have absolutely no idea were it is from, but i thought that touch screen phones had a soft jelly under the screen to help it respond better?

I live in california and it's about 105 degrees and this just started happening and i was wondering if it was a jelly substance that melted?

Also the lady told me that it's water intrusion, which doesn't seem right, if it's the phone that is melting...
So she just said we can't fix it and said i am wrong, even though another rep said i could send it in to see what's wrong. oh well.

I am open to the fact that i am totally wrong.

Nothing is wrong with the phone, but i just want to stop the melting jelly from doing any harm to my phone.

Also, Is there anyway i can change the front screen cover out myself or take it somewhere to repair the front screen cover?

Thanks
Nils

Well my question now is;

What is the front screen compiled of?

Front cover fascia --> touchscreen --> LCD screen?
