My k750i charger sucks! You connect it to the phone and nothing happens (you have to keep moving the cable to make it work)... has someone experienced the same problem?! mine K550i charger is much better. I would like to open my k750i charger but there are no screws! Or there is another way to fix it?

I do face the problem but i don't think it's charger problem cuz when i plug it in my w850i i've to do the same(keep moving the cable to make it work) but when i plug it in my other fone's it works perfectly......so for me it's the port which cause this problem(that's what i think so)...

There is a known fault with SE chargers that one of the two pins that actually carries the current can quite often stop connecting with the handset as the spring behind it that allows it to make contact fives up/breaks, meaning that there's no force behind the pin.

Sadly I don't have pictures illustrating the difference between a working charger and a broken one, so it's hard to really explain properly.

The charger that came with my K800 was faulty, it would keep reconnecting and popping up the message "optimized charging."

I had a K300i some time ago which had a similar fault - the connector block contacts the circuit board inside on a series of copper pads, and the pads needed a good clean. Sorted it out perfectly.

I had the same problem with my k750. As isashach said, the problem lies with the fastport connector. After long use they're just not as good as they used to be. You'll have to make do with moving the cable etc to make it work till you get a new phone. Or get it replaced at a SE service center if you're planning on sticking to it for a while

It's not only a problem with the fastport, I have a V800 with the old type of connection, and I have exactly the same problem. When it was still under waranty, it once became that bad, so bad that it was impossible to charge the phone, so I had to bring it to my operator. It's a shame that I can't charge it using my usb cable that works flawlessly. Are there any mods that I can do so that I can charge using usb?

Dude both on my P1i, W810i, My mums SE and my mate Pierces W810i the chargers all dont work for ages. It sucks cause i have to keep moving it to charge it, or tape it to my phone.

What I did was I cleaned the metallic first with some compressed air and then I got a bit of mentholated spirits and with a cloth i cleaned it more so now it works really well.

If the charger is bad, you could call SE Support and request them to send you a new charger for free. They sent me one that hasn't broken yet (6 months of use).

Sometimes, actually most of the time it's a problem with the fastport, not the charger.

Agreed, however I have had two bad SE chargers where the fastport was not the problem.
