my w580i cant be detected by xs++ but my k550im is detected easily.. my w580i suddenly shut off then wont turn on anymore.. im thinking of flashing the firmware but cant be detected so i cant.. do u think my w580i has hardware problem?.. any suggestions on what can i do?.. it still has the warranty though, but im on vacation on another country right now, so i wont be able to return it for a replacement till i get back on sept.. thanks in advance for anyone who can help.. ciao..

It may sound obvious but make sure the battery is fully charged.

Also make sure you have the drivers properly installed. If they are OK then I'm guessing you have an issue with the fast port. If cleaning the contacts doesn't work you should leave it alone and take it to an authorized phone service and use your warranty.
I'm thinking of the fastport contacts on the inside of the phone not being properly soldered. I think someone described a similar problem and in one of the replys it was stated that SE uses unleaded soldering instead of leaded one. The leaded one is of a higher quality but then the phone wouldn't be accordingly with electronics EU regulations and it would be harder to recycle.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Without doubet your phone got broken for it cannot even power on,it shouldn't be the problem of soft, so try to recall what part you touched during it shut off, as my judgement,it's ESD (static discharge) cause some chip down.
