Theres a post my diezel on his 'orange project' (the picture above) and he explains that the sidebar is only for orange but is there any other way of getting it without flashing my phone to orange

Thanks

If you want that sidebar, you can't and you need to flash it to orange fw :( But Desktop elf is something like this ^^ :)

I agree With DJ , desktop elf is much easier and better.

But if you want to Flash to Orange , You'll have to use their FS and Cust_Pack.
And Once you have it , You'll have to use FAR to get in Flash Memory and delete a file saying something like this :
"disable flshmenu".
You can find this file in "\tpa\preset\system\desktop\flash"

I don't know about you but I had to do this when my Phone was Orange Branded.

Good Luck with your Flashing.

Regards.

???
No configs, no bugs... how easier, how better? (why not both ;)).

But yes I agree with DJ also, I don't know if the W810 Orange FW has this type of sidebar (K800 R8BF has activity menu version), and I can almost guarantee W810 Orange has no/very little patches available.

All phones I think they have Orange FW. Because once you'll get a phone from an Orange shop it's already branded with this sidebar. You can find this FW on topsony or other sites :)

Why do you want Something Orange for w660 ?   Trust me I was an Orange Phone User and don't ask about bugs I was
having in my phone.
So use Desktop elf Instead , this is better , Reliable and Highly Customizeable , once you sucessfuly run that in your phone.

Regards.

If you're talking about mine , then I didn't have it.I got my phone in (Approximately) October 2006.
Maybe they didn't have it back then But they sure had Bugs , Annoying Bugs.

I've used this, and this "homescreen" thing is SLOW. It's SLOW, and BUGGY. If you want to reduce your lightning fast SE phone to the speed of an overloaded Nokia N70, get this. In any other situation, AVOID it like the plague. As mentioned, the Desktop elf is a better alternative.

agreed... desktop elf is much better.

I would think a good few orange branded f/w has the sidebar. my dad p990 had the sidebar before i debranded it :D

i loved diezil's edit though. but to make life soooo much easier, use desktop elf :D
