I have bought a flash from a website and debranded one of my cell phones before but I had step by step instructions on what to do 1st and etc.

I see instructions on here but I am not sure where exactly to start. I see the xs++ and the setools that I read some talking about in the forums. I have two phones I want to work on. One is a sony ericsoon z310a and the other is a z520a. The 310 works fine I just bought it off ebay and I just want to unlock it so I can use my sims card in the phone. the z520a has a white screen and I can call on the phone and receive phone calls but I can not see anything. The screen on that phone is now going black sometimes and white sometimes. Can someone please help me figure out where I need to start on these two phones?

The second one sounds like it has a broken screen, could have a bad connection.

Well I know someone who had theirs unlocked by giving someone on ebay their IMEI # and $10 and they sent a code back that was keyed into the Z310 and it unlocked it. So that would be great just to get it unlocked with a code or with some software so I can use the phone. My friend offered to give me the code they were give to unlock her phone do you think the code will unlock mine too? Since my IMEI # is different I did not know how that worked.

Are you saying there is nothing I can do for the z310? You said there is nothing about them meaning there is not software or they are just useless to try and unlock? Can it be done either with using the code my friend was given or does anyone have any software to flash to my z310?

Just to see what I can do I downloaded xs++ and hooked my cruiser cable to it and then hit connect the the directions says hold c down and connect well I did that and it attempts to connect but never does. I have selected usb and different com ports. Still nothing. I went to my device manager and it says that the cruiser cable is on 17 which does no show in the xs++ software. Do I use the cruiser cable or the usb cable that came with my phone. What can I be doing wrong. I was going to go ahead and back up the GDSF like the first part of the directions says from what I can make out of all this information on the website. Oh is it my Z310 phone.

Connect using the USB cable in FLASH mode. If your phone isn't DB2012 or CID 53 it can be unlocked via patch.

I get the message Error: Cannot open phone communication port

Ok I am reporting what I have been doing. Still no changes on either phone about the whole Cannot open phone communication. No matter how I try it or which phone. by the way it is a Z520a that has the white screen. No matter how hard I hold down the C button on my Z520a and then connect the cable it does not read it. I just get error message.
I got my cruiser cable and did just a read using client.exe program I got from another website one time and this is what it read on my z520a
Phone Certification: A1_DB2010_36_RED
PHONE SOFTWARE COLOR:RED
PHONE SOFTWARE CID: 36

But it will not read the Z310a

How is it that it will read using a cruiser cable and with the client software? I wanted to learn how do reflash the phone myself using the free software from this website but the softwar xs++ is not reading using the usb cable and I did download the drivers for the usb cable and looking at the device manager it shows to be on com 17 and all is showing like it is working fine.

What am I doing wrong?


Also my friend that bought the code after pay $10 and giving her IMEI# said she just got the code and followed the following instructions and then it opened and working just great. No trouble my question is what program is the guy she bought the code from using to get the code to unlock the IMEI? And will the same code work for my phone? Or will it mess somethng up on the z310a is what I am talking about here.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Sony Ericsson Cell Phones (all models):

If your phone has a "JOGDIAL" (for example SonyEricsson K700i), then you must press the "down arrow" instead of the "left arrow" for step 3 & 5. By "Down Arrow" I mean directing the Jogdial down!

For the unlocking of a locked Sony Ericsson no sim card is required.
Turn on the handset. Display will indicate “Insert SIM.”
Press the left Arrow (<) button.
Press the star (*) button twice.
Press the left Arrow (<) button again.
You will briefly see one of the following messages listed on devices display: “Personalized with MNC2” or “Personalized with MNC3”.
Wait approximately three seconds.
The display will indicate “Network” and a picture of a closed lock.
Press Select.
The display will indicate “Unlock (Net) 5” and “NCK:”
Enter the 16 digit NLCK4U code (unlock code we provided you) and press okay.
The handset will display “Network unlocked” and the display “Insert SIM” appears.
The handset is successfully unlocked.

u can get the elfpack with alot of elfs
check my tutorial, u'l get it from there
