Hi i was following this tutorial http://www.akshayy.c...sh-k550-to-w610 to flash my k550i. Anyway i was wondering how do i update my phone to CID52 so i can use thier FW and FS. I saw that there was a cid51 set for central europe, but i planned on using the america2 set. If i have to guess i can settle for the CID51 but is there a disadvantage to this. I tried letting XS++ update the phone but it doesn't work. I tried this script with seTool lite

I don't really know what else to try. I guess i could use wotan but i don't like wasting monet for something i can do myself. thanks

I think you just flash CID52 firmware?

I believe your EROM has to be CID52 for CID52 firmware. Your optCID can be 51 or 52 regardless of what firmware you use. Both of mine are 51.

the CID52 fw would not work with my CID51 phone as i expected. I flashed the CID51 FW and i like it. My only problem and why i still want to upgrade is that there are no patches available for the CID51 fw. Does anyone have an idea how to update my EROM CID to #52. THanks

I have a script that can update phone to CID52 if your IMEI 1st 8 digits are any of the following.


1. Turn off your phone, Reinsert battery
2. Start SeTool 2 lite.
3. In Misc, Click ‘….’ and select the upgrade script.
4. Click Write SCRIPT
5. Reinsert Battery
6. Connect phone holding C
7. Wait for a few seconds
8. When done it says elapsed XX second, disconnect phone.

My IMEI's first 8 is 35601901 . Does that mean i am out of luck?

So from what i am gathering there is no way at all to make my phone CID52 since seUS make them into CID53, the patch script doesn't work for my IMEI (should i try it anyway??), wotan didn't work. Are there really no other options??? a different script maybe, can i download a new EROM, is it possible to edit my GDFS. I don't really know, i just mainly want to take advantage of all the patches available for the CID52 Firmwares.
