I don't like the back. They have the same clip like bit as the w550i, and I just really don't like it, is this meant to be where you attach a lanyard?

Not a fan at all myself, would still be interested to see more, but definately not on my wish list!

It reminds me of a smartcar (I like smartcars). The back does have a hint of Fisher Price about it, but from the front it is just peachy. The front actually puts me in mind of an old Motorola handset. I'm not terribly keen on the keypad and I am beginning to think this is a handset that might be seeing the inside of a handbag more than it will be put down next to a copy of FHM.

Now that its ACTUALLY out, it doesnt look that...bad. And i saw i picture of it in blue, so it should do oky. The only thing thats a flop is the key pad...

For a low-end phone it looks pretty good, plus the cover and back look replacable so perhaps orange will make it stand out more.

Compared to the peak of their sophistication around the time of the P900, K700, S700 and even the K500, I fear they are beginning to dwindle down to mediocrity. (Design wise I mean)

I would say out of the recent announcements, only the K610 really retains the sophistication in design of the K700 era. I don't see the rest as being improvements to the current batch of phones.

I'm afraid that I have to agree with some of the comments here, the k800 and this one both look a bit pants really. I'm almost tempted to look at other brands for my next mobile

I read at MR, elder said SE is makin a fashion phone, with slider type thingy, that should be interesting, i am not going to give up SE until i see that phone!

Its not something I would buy but I'm not going to join the usual parade of moaning as this isn't an amazing phone to suit the tastes of hardcore SE fans.
I think this is clearly a low-end W-Series aimed at the youth market and for that I think it does ok and it looks VERY small to me which nobody else has commented on.

It disappoints me somewhat to see every new phone slated in such a way rather than looked at in its proper context.

Personally I think that several new models look better and more sophisticated and refined than these older ones. I think this is a case of the designs growing on you somewhat and I expect that in the future people will be looking back at todays models and proclaiming them to be much nicer than the new ones.

I remember how much the K500 was slagged off for being the ugliest phone SE have made...that reads differently now!

Wait to see phones in real life and consider the market they are aimed at and priced for
