I bought a w580i phone. It appeared I successful unbranded/flashed the phone. This is the current firmware on the phone:

version: R8RE001
DB2020
CID 52

The sound is awful on the phone. I don't use headphones...just phone headset and speaker. With the volume at max it was still hard to hear calls. I don't recall it was so bad when I first started using phone.

To fix the volume I have tried many acoustics file mods (mostly from Peter) using Far Manager but they either don't increase the volume or they make sound very distorted. I have read every forum and tried to work this out but I am no where.

I obviously cannot return under warranty. :-( Can someone please help me fix the sound on the phone?

Note: When I connect the phone to Far Manager it tells me it is a K800...is this right or did I flash the wrong firmware to the phone which is the source of my problem. I do not recall how to upgrade firmware and very nervious to try it again without step by step instructions. I used Wotan last time to flash phone.

Can someone PLEASE HELP ME?

I have Setool2lt...is this the sam at XS++? Are you looking for results when you click "Identify" in SeTool2lt? If not, please help me on how to get this log.

I downloaded and ran XS++. I have attached screen print. Could not figure out how to export log.

setool Identify is the same yes. Hm, try flashing with this guide and these files (I'm giving you downgraded firmware because R8BA024 is more moddable):

Hi - Thanks...I flashed my phone with the instructions and files you provided...worked great.

The sound is fair. It is clear but not real loud.

What acoustics files do you recommend?

Unfortunately, you've already tried peter's, maybe try rakista by eyeyousee, they are scattered around the last few pages of this forum.

Thanks. I think the phone internal speaker is messed up. Time to give up and move on and buy a new phone.
