i dont think its customizeble

you can: flash MAIN and FS + upload files to FS.
you can't: apply patches, backup GDFS (and maybe something else...)

you can use just JDFlasher... (w380 is pnx 5230)

Hi,

I am not new to SE phones, but I am new on modding SE phones. I have just bought W380i because of the beautiful clamshell design, but unfortunately this phone firmware is from TIM network. Some of the games in it is in Italy.

From what I was told by the phone reseller this phone does not support for video recording, however after searching and reading http://www.esato.com...hp?topic=166396 there is a possibility that it can be done. I have been reading the thread several times but still could not understand how to go about it.

What I really want to achieve is;
1. to get rid of the "TIM" firmwares posiblity get the standard SE w3801 firmware
2. the ability to capture videos as well plays it.

I have downloaded FARmanager and jdflasher but i do not know where to find the suitable firmwares and how to perform the flashing procedure. The only youtube video I found about flashing w380 is in italian which I could not understand.

Could anyone here kind enough to guide me.

From my phone software info it shows as

My current firmware is in english, however the phone provider is TIM(Italian). I'm not sure but, after more reading correct me if i'm wrong I should be doing the customization pack right?(to remove TIM menus and etc)
