It's working fine on mine  :D - just took a while locating and deleting all the walkman 2 files first!  :good:

Walkman 3 is ONLY for P1i!

moherowy the developer of walkman 2 hack bricked his M600 trying to get it to run walkman 3 files!!!  :o

only bricked it coz he couldnt reflash it which sucks, apparently he got it sorted now.

i did this to my phone at like 10 this morning, works really well.  just remember to remove the old walkman 2.0 files if u had it installed. :D

the main reason it wouldnt work is because we are talking about something for the uiq3 operating system rather than cpu speed.  but yeh w580 probably isnt fast enough considerin the menus lag a bit in the p1i

On this page... Walkman Hardware Button Moherowy has added a command to allow Posted Image alkman player to be activated by the 'Shortcut' button - works great on my P1iW  :good:

Hi Graphite,
I installed all the required applications for walkman ver3 but i am not able to open it.

"Copy contents of directory 'C' from the archive to 'C:\' disk in your phone. Default language of the Walkman Player is English."

As per the above, i copied the contents of C from the archive to C:\ in the phone but i made a folder by the name Walkman. I restarted the phone but of no use. Just a small query is it necessary to copy the contents directly to C drive of phone, as SYS, Resource & Private are already present there. Does it mean that i have to overwrite everything.

Just scared whether it will not crash my phone.

you have to overwritte and what do you mean with ``i made a folder by the name Walkman´´
did you put it that folder.....?

Yes, you copy the folders Private, Resource Shared & Sys directly into C: drive of the phone - it will ask if you want to overwrite - say Yes - it does not actually overwrite anything as far as I know but it adds new files & sub-directories into those folders  :cool:

You do not need to have a 'walkman' folder...

I have read topics which says that if you install the walkman 3.0 to p1i will disable the QWERTY keypad?? is it true????

i'm going to wait for you answer before installing it.... i need the keypad ....

only in the player you can use 1-9 becouse it's designed for w960i but minimized t works 100%

whew i thought it will disable the keypad with all those applications...hehehehe

anyway about WALKMAN 2  files....can anyone post folders and files of the WALKMAN 2 for the us "NOOBS" to easily locate them???

Ive already hacked my P1i and installed Walkman 3.0 and everything works as it should be and for that thnx to SE-NSE and IPMart with its active members Mr. T and SWmail, keep it up for UIQ3
