You did this:

Put the REMAlert folder into your Config folder (phone memory). ?

Check if you have this functions in your lib:
0928: 00000000 XXXXXXXX ; 24A: int PlayFileV(u16 * path, u16 * fname, int vol);
06C8: 00000000 XXXXXXXX ; 1B2: int PlayFile(u16 * path, u16 * fname);

I can remember my dreams easier.
Normally I remember little things that happen.
With the elf, I do not remember full of dreams, but I see a big difference.
Wow, it's good to hear that it's working! :)
The second update may help you even more in remembering your dreams ;)

Very good idea!
I like people who have imagination!

Great work!
Thanks!
Actually, I'm not the first that thought of that. This has been done numerous time before :p

First of all, update your lib: http://perk11.info/s...r4ea031.lib.vkp
Then, in the ini change interval to 0xA and run the elf. If it works (if the sound plays when the timer reaches 0), then set interval back to 0xEA60.

Version 1.4 is here! :)

Changelog:

Added "secondary alerts". This feature should help you even more to remember your dreams. What this does is to play the alert every 2 minutes while you are in the REM stage.

Note: I suggest lowering the volume if you use loud farfield acoustics when using the secondary alerts feature. You want to be alert, not woken up :p

w. junior, please try this and tell me if it works better than the previous versions! :)

Ooopsss... Triple posted...  :blush:

Version 1.5 is here! :)

Changelog:

Added mousex's suggestion with a slight modification (you have to press any key within 1 minute instead of 10):

View Postmousex, on 2008-04-21 21:01, said:

I have a suggestion which I think could help to find a better REM phase. After starting the elf the mobile should vibrate every 5 minutes and you have to press a button, and if no button was pressed for 10 minutes the phone knows that you are asleep.
A little bit like German trains where the driver has to press a button every 5 minutes or the train stops ;)
You can enable it in the ini.

Updated the ini file with a little more information.

Note: If you plan to use the new "Sleeping man's switch" feature, don't forget to upload the beep.wav file to your Config/REMAlert directory!

I think better solution is to just find some binaural beats in .wav format since it's not compressed. Although I'm not sure where you can find them for free(legally) though.

SBaGen is a free, opensource program that can generate binaural beats, and export them to a wav. However, you'll have to make the beats yourself (or find them online)...

about "Sleeping Man switch" feature: wouldn't it be better if it would be some kind of sound? I mean, if you'd hold a phone in your hand waiting for pressing button, vibra would wake you up =)
