@Spoochy

:welcome:

What a first post! :D That's most interesting indeed, thank you very much for sharing that. :) I took the liberty of editing your post to include the direct link to the English translation; people using the first link may not have realised there was an English version beneath the Norwegian version.

I did a rough calculation based on the premise that the opening time for 2,000 messages was 48 times longer than that for 1,000 messages and worked out that an inbox containing 32,000 messages would take more than forty years to open. :p

@scotsboyuk

Thanks for the warm welcome! ;) becouse of my poor english writing skills i will not be so active in this english forum. but i will stay tuned and see if someone comes up with something of interest or answer on some threads i know better info about. :) it's nice to share.. :)

@BrightSpark

Yes ofcourse... did you see any Nokia in the text? :p

@Cagra

It can be done wih Twister (HWK) and i heard that TMS can also be used... never tested by me & Fredrik.

Cruiser can't write folders so i know for sure that it will not work before Leads makes an update to Cruiser with an better FS support.

@MikLSP

@Spoochy

Could the firmware be altered so that text messages are stored on a memorystick rather than the internal memory?

@Spoochy

That's a shame, it would be handy to be able to swap memorysticks about with all your data, including texts stored on it.

Hi!

Thanks for your great tip :good: .

I have few questions:

> Can I use the standard cable (DCU-60) with K750? Or do I need T28 cable or else?

> I also would like to know if I can use SEtool2 or Sonics or SEMCTool 3.3...?

Many thanks and sorry for my bad english.

@All

Found ou that you only need to change /ifs/settings/messaging/pref_store.txt.
The phone will create the folder self after you get the first message. :)
So Cruiser users can do this to.

@jello

SeTool will work fine.. :)

Thanks for your reply :) .

But is Setool2 the same thing that SEtool? Because I have a link for SEtool2 but not for SEtool...

And you didn't answer for the cable: which one did you use?

I also would like to know if it is necessary to have a firm with SEtool?

This is really rather cool, the SMS limit is the only thing that bugs me. I'll have to do this!

The SETool i have requires a usb dongle, is there software which doesnt require this?

Will a Cruiser act as the usb dongle?

I dont really wanna have to buy anything to do this.

Is there a way, without doing this to have the phone automatically overwrite text messages when it needs to save a new one?

I've made it without creating directories. Thx to grca73 @ esato
Just upload your own pref_store.txt with /tpa text in it.
