Ok.

I want to replace the K800i's shitty, quiet loudspeaker with the awesome Nokia N73 one.

One question - Is it possible?

I'm hoping it will just be an easy switch with the least amount of re-wiring possible.

Thanks.

Should work. :)

It could be quieter or louder though.

If you do it tell us :)

eyeyousee could probably tell you more :)

Good!

Hmm, shouldn't it be louder? My K800i is pathetically weak in volume compared to other SE's I have such as the W850i, W800i, K750i and D750i.

My N73 is louder than them all.

Wouldn't putting an N73 speaker in make it as loud as a Nokia N73?

Thanks for the reply!

It depends on how much power the phone supplys to the speaker :)

i don't know how to explain it

Ok, so would there be any way to change that amount to vary the volume?

Thanks again mate.

Erm.

No, probably not. Casue you'd have to increase or decrease the ammount of electricity going to the speaker,

I Have no idea how to do that :p

Hey, what about Leaving the k800i speaker in and putting the N73 speaker on too?

As in put the N73 speaker in ASWELL as the K800i one? Would this be possible?

May have to consider it, don't think my Battery will be too happy about it though.

i don't think a speaker from a nokia would work with a sonyericsson the nokia is completey different in the amount of power it sends to the speaker etc, a better idea would be to replace a speaker from a :se: with a speaker from a :se: , go for a w850 or a w300 speaker there both bigger in size and alot more powerful, louder & bassyer than the k800 speaker.

N95 is louder ;) but you wouldn't buy an expensive phone just for the speaker ..
