Hey everyone, I have a red CID49 DB2010 W810, firmware R4DB005. I saw a patch that let you turn the system *.mid files to *.mp3 but not for R4DB005. I have searched and could not find one for my phone. I would like this feature as I would love to tweak my sound scheme. I tried to replace the ones already on the phone with my custom mp3 sounds (renaming them to exact filename and extension as it appears in phone) but that didn't work. They are all quite short (less than 5 seconds). If anyone knows of one for R4DB005 or has a solution or a (working) link to a patch, that would kick a$$.

Changing extensions tpa in the folder / preset / system / to *.mp3
If you want to change to another extension then replace 6D00700033 with:

I appreciate the detailed reply but could someone tell me what I am looking at? I have XS++ and SEtoollt but i am not an advanced user. Which program do I use to enter these changes and how.

i did not see mp3 as a variable. Will i have to convert my mp3 to m4a or 3gp?

in pietrek patch, all already change to mp3.

All you gotta do is copy whole that text from my post to notepad and save it as "mid_to_mp3.vkp" for example.
Next thing to do is to apply the patch with SETool. http://se-center.pl/...2058279531g.jpg
It should be pretty much straightforward :-)
