W960 Vs G900 Rate Topic: -----

Advantage of W960 over G900

1)bigger screen

2)full screen visualizations

3) Better Design

Advantage of G900 over W960

1) Wifi b and g

2) 5mp camera (with red eye reduction, image and video stabilizer,light for video recording)

3) Faster UI

4) D- pad

5) Cheaper Price

The only reason am still favouring W960 is because of the bigger screen and full screen visualisations ( I simply love it! :))

If SE does something about the UI speed on the W960... the W960 would be much better...

I love the design too :)

I wont be getting a new phone till the yr end....so waiting for prices to go down.....if SE does improve the UI speed with a firmware update, i'd be pretty happy with it....

I actually like the designs of both handsets equally, the G900 looks very refined.

I would have thought the biggest advantage of the W960i would be a more advanced Walkman player.
Sadly there will not be an improvement to the UI speed on the W960i though I don't think.

the G900 has a player similar to Walkman player 3....the only difference is the visualisations...

I personally like the w960 more but it is hard to get. Also is the w960 out in the USA because my friend needs a new phone that can do email web music and everything basicly but he has bad eye sight will the w960 be able to zoom into documents??

very big...g900 estimated price is 300 (plus taxes), much less than w960

I was told that at and t does not have it and even if he got it they will not support it is this true

its not supported....but it may depend on the frequency your operator uses ......

because of the frequency, no one in the US really uses it.

Having used a W960 I am siding with the G900 at the moment. If the G900's UI is nippy enough then it wins my vote. It has a great range of features in a small package and that appeals to me. The W960 does look nice, but the UI just isn't up to it in my opinion.

yeah....the G900 UI does seem to be more refined than the one on the W960......and better navigation is possible as it has a D-pad too.....but somehow, the walkman touch player with the visualizations and the large touchscreen is what thats still keeping me interested in the W960 :)

W960 users such as thunderbird and mizzle are pretty much satisfied and happy with their phones.....so I guess the UI is not too bad :)

Sorry for reviving this topic again...But I just can't seem to decide. I still like the W960 better because of its looks,larger screen and those wonderful full screen visualizations, and if the UI is not painfully slow, I'll still consider this over the G900. Price is the important factor here though, as the W960 is still retailing for over $600 here in India. Anybody else in a similar dilemma? :)

i just went to a store,the price of w960 is still higher than G900... based on your feedbacks, i think you are still in favor to have w960.. i almost swap my phone to G900 brand new (of course i need to add additional money).. if there is no upgrade in the firmware, i migth swap my phone to G900....

the w960 supports b, it does have wifi :)

but which phone has the better music quality?
w960 or g900?

and btw w960 may have a bigger screen but less battery duration
and the phone is bigger than g900
