hey... does anyone know how to repair a T610's microphone? also the phone doesn't good reception does anyone know a way to create an external antenna so i can get better reception. it's been a long time since i used this phone and i really need it now.

looking at the 2 k700i's (i dont have a t610/630) i have in front of me the mics are separate from the main board and just drop into the main housing of the phone and are attached by a couple of pins to make contact with the board

And you might just get away with taking the phone apart and giving it a good clean inside, might solve both your problems. The reception prob might just be because the aerial has come away slightly and just needs snapping back into place.

wasn't the antenna on the T610 a thin metal coated sticker? visable just under the top cover at the rear, and as for as i remember (as gaming_guy said) the Mic is just placed in the front case.
if it is how i think (antenna) there will be 2 metal prongs you can solder too to attach a better antenna

i'm getting problems to post up the pics... after all, i only have 56k dial up. any how, the pics of the board (both front and back) and the housing are in the attachment below. can someone (with hi speed net) post up the pics edited to show me where the mic is supposed to be and also, where i need to attach wires to improve the reception.

The Mic died on my T610 aswell its just loud static. I found a shop in Porugal with spares, but I couldn't be bothered ordering from that far away.

You can attach an external antenna using the gold connector on the back of the phone. Remove the little cover next to the camera to reveal it, you can of course see it on the circuit board in your picture
