Ok, two questions:

First one, I have the R6BC of the k810 on my k800, is there any reason to up to the R8?

and secondly, when I connect the fone to update though the Sony Ericson update, it recognizes the fone as a K800 and not as a K810, even though in the fone I can read that it is a K810. I even installed the k810 drivers, but the SE update service still recognizes it as a k800. It would be cool to do the official updates through the SEUS.

Its because the Imei number is known by seus as a phone so say my Imei number on my k550i was 11223344 then it is known as a k550i always and even if its flashed it wont change the number as that is really illegal

If I remember right the main change between R6 and R8 is an updated Java engine and yes it is worth it if you use a lot of apps and games.

get R8. u can apply a hell load of vkp patches with it. im on R8 with mods n im loving it!

Ok, because after doing the upgrade to K810, i definitely notices a slowdown when I use the game and apps menu as to before. Maybe this will fix that.

By the way, some of the apps, like pullface dont work anymore, saying it does not support or something. must be conected with the new firmware.
