I'm just wondering, is the color of the keypad light on the W580 and S500 the same? I want to do a conversion. Thanks!

i think the keypad color is actually white , only the buttons and the inside plates are colored , i saw an white w580 housing on ebay and it includes an orange plate , and at the grey one , a blue plate

sorry if i call it plate , it's actually rubber (i think)

yeh the keypad light is actually white, and it depends on the color of the keypad which changes the color, its the same as the d-pad buttons, they are white too.

im not sure if you can change a s500i keypad -> w580i, but ive tried s500i green -> silver with ease

you can change the number keypad but the D-pad cannot due to the different button shapes.

although i do believe that the circular button from W580 could be cut away from the menu buttons and be used in the S500 housing. (or the other way about)
