I think that you first have to flash it to red, and then get a CID36 firmware.Atleast that's how i've done it (well, mine was red from the beginning)

you have a prototype phone which has a brown erom. you will need to convert it to a red erom to upgrade to a w800i

use this to change it to red, then you can flash it BROWN to RED Conversion Using DCU 60
