Had a small misfourtine with my K750i, the cat decided to take a pee on it. So the phone was sitting in cat pee for about 4 hours (cat must have been drinking a lot the day before).

Anyway, no insurance so I decided to take it apart to clean it. Trust, me when your phone smells of cat pee, you dont want to answer any calls.

I took it apart and cleaned it all out (with lighter fluid and cotton swabs) and it all went back together again fine.

The problem I now have is that the phone never detects the battery has a charge, I've got a battery that I've charged up and tested on another K750i (100%) but the phone always thinks it's 0% and shuts down.

If you plug the USB cable into the phone, even when it's not attached to the PC, the phone will still think the battery is at 0%, but will stay on!

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else had seen an issue like this before (the battery issue, not the cat issue)

Many Thanks,

J_

:welcome: welcome to se-nse :)

I don't suppose you get much chance to test if the rest of the phone works ok?

Moisture of any sort is certainly not a phones best friend, or any electrical device for that matter. It is quite possible that this has done some damage which will need greater repair than just cleaning.

Did any of the components inside look worse for wear, it's definitely not the battery as that works in another phone so the problem must be in your phone.
