I own a w580i..My current firmware version is R6BC002..I hv seen the latest version in topsony website.

My queries,

1. Is it safe to upgrade my firmware?? If yes, How do i do it usin xs++..Any tuts avail for w580i???
2. What is the use in upgrading the firmware??
3. What are the changes I culd xpect after upgrading the firmware??
4. How long will it take thru XS++??
5. Also I hv heard frm sum frnds tht the latest firmware is buggy..Is tht true???

1. There is always a small risk when upgrading software, even using SEUS

2. If you have a branded phone, (3 Network) you can use software to remove all the branding and put the phone to factory condition with no restrictions, like some networks dont let you use mp3 for ringtones and others disable flash menus.

3. As above.

4. It should only take a few minutes through XS++.

5. i dont know what you mean by buggy but its stable enough to use, i have the latest on my W580i and i have had no problems.

I read in another forum about the bug in the latest firmware. I am not sure wat bug is it.
