Nokia's are random. If your Nokia phone is in warranty, they should charge you nothing for update service at the Nokia Care centre. But, when I went there, they wanted AUD$45, when it can be done free on the computer.

im really opposed the the 6233 6280 series 40 firmware is it? so terrible from what ive seen anyway.  i had a 6280 for a week, had problems with the slide.  I took it back and they gave me another one, turned it on downloaded msn and upon running it the phone reset six times in a row.  reliable true.  anyway i just went back in and got my money back luckily :)

Everyone has their own preferences.

I used to always have Nokia phones until the 7210 which was awful and I got a T300 instead. Now Idon't like Nokia menus as they feel much more laboured than SE menus.

I think though that all manufacturers make good phones these days and there are advantages and disadvantages to each. A lot of it will ultimately come down to personal preference.

We have had N95 8GB in work and it's sloooow, i much prefer the SE walkman handsets even the horrible W910
The Nokia guy at work used the N80 8GB for a day before going back to his Treo lol

i've always used phones that have features or specs i would use day in day out.... SE used to service my needs but my needs change and now always being on the move means i needed a device which could handle my increasing PIM requirements, storage on the go (storing large raw files) the odd bit of music and most importantly internet access....

I've found the Nokia phones i have used recently (N91 + now N95 8Gb) to fulfill my wants and needs thus making them the perfect phones for me.  I have become used the long winded menu's and the not so good battery life (although N95 8Gb seems a lot better now!)...

In summary theres a phone for each person somewhere out there... If u like SE get an SE, if you like Nokia's get a Nokia... etc etc...

There  is one NOKIA, that one called SIRROCO, that one(you may know chriss_b0ss), that one, costs about 600USD, and, after a report of the magazine CONNECT, has the most problem, SOFTWARE problems, and it came out, that NOKIA has the most faulty phones, while SE, Samsung, Sagem, are the best.
LG GT540: Cyanogen(mod)7, Gingerbread 2.3.4, Fastboot + Recovery.

Then Dark Helmet says "How many a$$holes do we have on this ship?". Then the guy says "There all a$$holes, sir". Lol it's so funny... you guys should watch it :)

@noj

I'd be interested to know what you think of the X1 in light of the requirements you set out.

Bessie Braddock: Winston you are drunk. Churchill: Yes, but in the morning I shall be sober, and you will still be ugly.
