I am trying to unlock my W850i mobile phone. This will not accept a Vodaphone sim card - "Inactive Sim - Please insert a correct sim card..."

Phone details are:
DB2020
CID52
RED
CDA102677/95
Europe_2
R1KG001
R3A022

I used "XS++" to flash the new FS settings.

I have flashed the correct file Downloaded from "http://www.iprotebe.cz/"
The phone turns on and connects to the Vodaphone network, however I cannot make or receive calls I just get the "three tone" beeping as though there is an error.

Obviously I backed up the phone before hand, and have restored it to its previous form - However it dosnt seem to have restored as the new settings are stil their.

Can anybody help please?..... :(

Thanks
Binary!

Flashing new firmware does not unlock the phone to all networks. You need to use davinci or alike to unlock the phone but it will set you back 50 euros as the phnes CID is 52. All flashing new firmware does is fixes bugs or removes operator specific garbage (ie startup and shutdown images, 3stores, tzones or the alike) but there is advantages of debranding the handset as some operators dont allow certain features like flash themes or flash menu's which you can get from debranding.
