Ok I have did a complete flash to the K800i R8BA024 firmware. I love it sony got it right.

Maybe its just me but these are the changes i can see.
Acoustics are the bomb, even better than Peter's.
Camera is fine, i believe it doesn't need any modding.
Java 7.7 is a lot faster.
And for the photofix and track id that you get from flashing to the k810, i don't need it just a waist of space.

Only thing missing is flash support and walkaman 3.0

Please post your thoughts on R8BA024 both the k800 and K810 version. But only complete flash Main and FS.

well camera should make the same results cause version stayed at 2.5. videocamera driver is still 2.3, too. acoustic is kinda better, clearer in a way. new javaengine 7.7 is really faster than previous. scrolling through pictures in the album is kinda faster and smoother,too.

so i assume it doesnot require custompack anymore.
besides im a little reluctant to let go of the R1GB001 and lose those pictures browsing keys above display.

i successfully flash my K810i to the new driver

1. menu : i think faster and smoother
2. acoustic : yeh it improved,but not that good
3. camera : same driver as the old one,no changes.wohoho
4. games : faster
5. keys : all working

nope its a k810i feature but you can use k810i firmware for your k800i.

hmmm dont know if this is bug in R8BA024:

Try to use your Camera then press Game A (lower left button on screen)
then select "Frame" you will notice that Frame is selected but not highlighted
by a light blue color.

and also when i discharge the flash,it takes more than 10 seconds to discharge.not like the previous firmware

Discharge flash? u mean in the hidden service menu?
no, the time it takes shorten about 2 seconds
maybe K800's firmware differs K810's firmware?

my original firmware discharges the flash faster but after i upgrade it discharges about 10 seconds or more

I think SE will have another FW beyond R8... they always release one FW with improvements, than they have to release a second onw with bug fixes...
that's our lovely SE ^^

Yeah, I hope they will finish it ASAP, its been 6 months since
they released officially R1KG001 in SEUS.

EDIT: hmmm i did service tests but something is freakin' me out:
in "Service Menu" > "Service tests" > "Security"> "Test 1"...

The result is :

Connect: Key Error
CMLA: No Key
SEMC: Key Ok
VIA: No Key

The Connect in my R1KG001 says Key Ok but in R8BA024 it returned
Key Error. What does it mean?

Another one (bug?) :

Well u see, i did this awhile ago,
I used "Google Maps" that connects to internet,
then after I finished using, I load another JAVA
program, it shows a globe icon (active in internet)
on the upper right screen even games that dont
connect to internet it still shows!!

those bugs are somewhat in very first firmwares,
i returned back to R1KG001 using SEUS today.

Hey!

Just flashed MAIN, and my joystick sensivity got back to normal... before it was buggy, "down" wasn't working well, and now its perfect ^^
And I have flashed trhu SEUS about 2 times [R1KG001], to set original files back.. and the joystick was always buggy. It was the fw!

yeah SEUS seems to cause more problems than it solves, for me it ruined my acoustics a while back to such an extent that I thought my speaker was dying, the flashed with XS++ and what do you know speaker... good as new.

erm... joystick prob can solve by renew firmware?? really??
