or do i hold c and connect

i recently got it all working , but there were some themes i didnt like so...smart me i erased one of the .swf files just like it says on these tutorial BUT NOW I DONT HAVE A MENU AT ALL!!!!!!

PLSSSSS CAN SOMEONE HELP ME GET MY MENU BACK!!!....ANY MENU

it shows activating filesystem i have waited for 30 mins but its still activing
pls help

"ERROR", of communication port is about of system problem ( windows ) wich operaitig system do U usse ?
I was haveing the same problem

first try to change USB Driver. there is link of Mr. thunderbird-s post in my last reply

if U continue to recive this communication port error than best will be to reinstall windows

Hello Jak01!
I have a W850i phone and I tried your steps here. However, within the first part of the steps my phone wasn't detected by the computer. I got the error message "Error: Cannot open phone communication port and Disconnected... Unplug the phone". I didn't want to reinstall my windows, as an advice I saw here. I tried pressing 2 instead of 'C' but it still gave the same error. What should I do now?

W850i Flash Themes Tutorial 2.0
Copyright Jak01 2007/2008

Ok now to getting the software, you will need......

XS++ v3.1 (supports CID 49/51/52/53)

Then unzip all files and make a folder e.g
C:\Program Files\XS

And some flash swf menu files....
(files not made by me)

Ok thats the downloading done.

Now go to the place where you saved XS++ 3.0
E.G ( C:\Program Files\XS )

1.
Open the XS++ you just downloaded.

2.Plug your phone into computer by USB and put into "Phone Mode"

3.Press Connect

4.Turn of phone then hold c down.

Ok now you are set up now to do the flashing

.....

5.When you are connected click " FSX " in the bottom right corner.

6.Then click " Start FSX "

7.Then when you are connected it will come up with the file manager on the left side.

9.Drag and drop flash themes (swf 's ) you want to put on your phone into the right hand box.

If uploaded fine it will come up with this....

Then to disconnect phone from pc click " Shut Down " in bottom right corner of XS++.

Then you can unplug your phone and the flash themes are on your phone.
But this is no good as you are not using them with anything so these tutorials will tell you how to make them work with any flash theme you have put on your phone. ( Note:I did not make this).Thanks uroszg!

If you are getting problems with doing this like an error message when you install them on your phone like " Theme file corrupt " or the flash menu is not there then make sure.
You have put the EXACT name of the swf so if it is " citybeat.swf " you NEED to put the whole name not just " citybeat " or " CiTyBeAt.swf " as it is CASE-SENSETIVE. Also if this does not work remember to .tar the theme files WITH TUGZIP and NOT 7-zip.Then you can rename to .thm and then put the .thm file in your "themes" folder on your phone

Ok now to the faq part of the post ....

Q.How do i delete of my phone when i am bored of them?

A.Click the picture below to show you how you can delete them by using XS++(Phone must be connected first)

Q.What have i done wrong, my menu has loads of different coloured dots and is only at the top part of the screen and you cant make it out?

A.The .swf file is either corrupt or to small for your w850i so try another one...

Q.When i click on vodafone live or Play now it comes up with a screen like this....

A.This is a common problem if you have a w850i without play now on.And vodafone as even i cannot get them to work so sorry just dont click on them on the menu .

Q.My menu looks like this still when i have edited the html in the Theme.xml file?

A.Check back at the theme.xml file if you have done it right if not make sure you have uploaded the specific swf menu file to your phone.

Q.My phone will not turn back on after i have take then cable out of the phone?

A.Ok, just take the battery out and put it back in again if this does not work post a topic on the forum.

Q.All my normal and flash themes are mixed into one directory what can i do to seperate them?

A.Make a "Flash Themes" directory in your themes directory and put them in there.

Q.How many flash themes can i put on my phone?

A.I would put as much as i could until i have atleast 2-3 mb of memory on your phone memory so it does not get full up(incase you need to store messages or dont have memory card).

HI Help?

I've put the .swf files in my phone w880i throu the XS++ tutorial, np.

And then I put the .thm files in my phones Themes dir

When I try to change my themes , the new one is "corrupt" , screen messed up , dosen't look like it should.

Is it because the .swf is to small for my w880i or I'm I doing something wrong?

(My first mobil flash atempt)

I've fixed it !!!
It was the downloaded themes on this guide that were wrong.
I tried some themes on this site http://splderben25.f...r/dl_flash.html and they all work for me,,,, ( Aperçu = Preview ) ( Télécharger = Download )

Hello Guys!!!

I have a small problem with XS++
When I click on "Start FSX" after a while the screen appears some errors with red letters and the XS shuts down.

I haven't flashed my phone (w580i) but it's not branded!!! What can i Do??? Plz help me!!!

hmm i dont know about ur problem i just know about mine heheh
ok my problem is everythink works fine(i didnt flash the phone i dont know how to but jeah i dont know if i need too?? back to topic)
i press connect hold c and put the cable into my phone all fine, than i go to the folder flash right there are already 3 in grouped,female line,Orange Bubbles in the phone ther is just grouped wth??
when i put flash themes in there its all works so i press shut down buttton disconnect the phone and close xs++
now i turn it on there is nothin just grouped and walkman always
u know normal themes, when i put them on my memory stick they work
and these flash themes not, not even the ones there where there before (Orange bubbles, Female Line)
they didnt work so i deletet them exept grouped and tryed it again dosnt work either hmmzz

CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME PLZZZZ PLZZ
I WOULD BE THANKFULL FOR LIVE

i own an sony ercsson W850i and jeah it has no brand
i should work fine but i dosnt
can somebody PLZ HELP
