Peter's Acoustics v2
Based on R8BA024R acoustics!

XS++ zip file:

- New acoustic mod especially for R8AB024 users!
- DRC on/off option

- Especific HPM70 changes - more bass and trebble
- HiFi headphones - soft equalization
- Ultrabass - just for fun... not very good with rock... but sounds awsome with techno, dance, etc.
- Changed transmition compensation, better call quality. [of course depends on your service provider call quality]
- Earpierce call volume is louder than original, but a bit softer than previous.
- Farfield_play is based on W850 compensations, K800 speaker settings, volume raised.
- Overall volume increased
- Bluetooth acoustics changed
- Handsfree acoustics changed
- Vehicle Handsfree acoustics changed

Instructions:
1 - Download the file linked above
2 - UNzip it
3 - With FAR navigate to IFS\settings\acoustic
4 - Delete all files with the exact same name and extension [zapf] on the phone, that are present on the pack. [18 files]
5 - Now that originals were deleted, you can copy all files from the pack
6 - Quit FAR

Man This is great i try ur handset_0_call.zapf (during Call ) and really loud and clear
and the backspeaker is great 2 no distorting at the highest volume and loud enough
and i find that the handset_0_call.zapf k800_R1JG001 is louder than the w880 one and different in size also but not as urs thx
i will test the microphone since iam not sure if it high may be the other caller hear noise (if any) while talking

@Mr Big
As Amr0 said below, it is meant not to be that loud.. to not distor other sounds.. but its louder than original, and more clear sound also.

@amr0
Please let me know what did you find about the mic sensivity!

So how did you like it? Suggestions?

i hav tested it
it sounds better
but when im hearin songs usin the backspeaker
i tried to test the max volume n it sounds abit distorted
when im usin the original w880i handsfree i also tried to hear at max volume n it cracked
other than that its better
than w880i acoustic as w880i treble tends to be overloud
hope tat u can solve the problems i pointed out
hope ur next version could solve those problems n it should b among the the tops for k800i acoustic

hey, nice acoustic, however, i found that "high-pitched" noises, such a a clap/ symbol in a song sounds ear-piercing and cracky while being used as a ringtone. My mp3 was encoded in 192kbps.

However, i liked everything else! thanks for the mod.

Yeah thats the problem to solve... louder but with less distortion... louder I can't promise to much improvment, but max volume with no distortion is my goal.

Hey tits, you mean with my acoustics the earphone cracks at max volume? Can you tell what earphone is that?

So are you using this on a W880 phone? Or u're saying that original W880 acoutics tend to be treblish? [sorry didn't get that very whell]

Gonna release a new version soon.. as the sound is distorting at max volume.
But you'll have to wait... cause I don't want to make lots of versions... so the next one gotta be good enough to be the final one.

I'll need some beta testers!

Hey Pedro,

Great work on the acoustics! I tried them and WOW! they are LOUD!

i maxed the volume on the headset and called up my provider twice, once with and the other without the mod and the 2nd time i didnt even hold the phone next to my ear and i still heard it nice and clear!

Thanks a lot!

im usin it on a converted k800i
i flashed it to k810i
the earphone im usin to test it the w880i original handsfree
im not usin other fancy or nice earphones as i found the original handsfree sound is not bad
w880i driver is indeed loud but quite high on the treble
my mp3 is at 128kpbs which is quite good as in file size n sound quality
ur acoustic only distort at the max lvl
even when u go down half a bar it makes quite a difference

i can b ur beta tester as i always listen to songs on my phone everyday

w880i acoustic is really loud on my k800i
but dun u think the treble is too high?
at first i thought i could endure it
n as im usin a k800i i dun hav much choice for acoustic drivers
but once i started usin pedrops acoustic
the treble is normal back
but then the loudness is also lower but compared to the original driver its still louder

Yeah w880 on K800 is to treblish...

About the earbuds.. I'm using HPM70 too, they are good... especially with my acoustics :p
but I have a Phillips too, is cheap, U$10... and wayyy better than HPM70, and that sounds good too.

I'm waiting for the answer of betatesters... Its getting complicated to get it loud as people want.... without interfering on internal sounds equalization I think its almost impossible
but yeah, I'm trying

hpm70 is really quite good
as for me i think i would b too lazy to buy new earphones
as hpm70 serve its purpose quite nicely
i think i would b usin it for a very long time
quite lazy to check the other earphones on the market as it would b quite troublesome

on a diff note
i tested ur newest farfield.zapf
the one wit the same but louder tag
its louder abit than ur first acoustic mix
on hearin the same songs usin the headset it still distort the sound on the max lvl
but when im hearin the same songs on the earphones the distortion is gone
could the diff b in the mix
wat i mean is
from the W880i acoustic the treble is high while the bass is low
from ur mix both ur treble n bass is nice
which brings me to the next question

i think the problem also lies at another place other than the acoustic drivers
i think the speakers on the phone play a large part on the sound
i hav given it a thought
n so i tested the same songs on a few diff phones
all the K series phones headset speaker tends to be high on treble
while the W series phones headset speaker sounds warmer n nicer to hear
the speakers should play a part in givin out the treble sound
i hav asked around if its possible to change the headset speaker from K series to W series
but the answer that i gotten from those technicians are the same
its not possible due to the diff size of the speakers involved
unless its the same design of a K series n W series
i think if its solved then the diff would b known
-inactive currently cuz got some problems-
