To those se-nse patrons who love their p990i, there is a way now to change the menu icon in your P990i… here it is:

1. Connect the phone to your PC with the USB cable.
2. Select "File Transfer" Mode when prompted by the phone.
3. Now phone should be displayed as a hard disk in your PC (Lets say it is drive E)
4. Make a new folder called "resource" in drive E: (Case sensitive - use lower case)
5. Extract the "resource.rar" file you downloaded here to a temp folder and copy each folder to your phone memory card… it will look like this…
    E:\resource\LSBCONLIB
    E:\resource\MPSAudioLIB… etc.
6. Extract the AlaunchIcon.rar to E:\resource\Apps… it will look like this:
   E:\resource\Apps\ ALaunchIcon.mbm (Note: if the Apps folder is not existing in your memory card, you must create the Apps folder)
7. Carefully disconnect the phone from the PC (First change to "Phone" mode from "File Transfer" mode before disconnect).
8. Restart the phone now.

You are done…

for those icon artist, i also attach the mbm tool...

below you can find the new look of your menu icons.. as of now the 4icons cannot be changed... namely media player, message, phonebook and calendar...

Before 5 minutes I do this with Swiss manager

Copy RESOURCE folder from C:/ and now I'm serching for MBMTool to create my own icons

regarding your question.. as of now only the menu can be costumized.. sound & camera.. i guess in the future.. enjoy your p990i

mbm_wizard im not realy sure.. but mbmtool, you can use that to create your own icons... about the Orignial_vista_fonts, just put in in your X/resources/fonts (if "fonts" folder is not in your resources folder.. just create the folder) to see what gonna happen.. enjoy your p990i.. besides have you tried the GDESK..? its an amazing application for p990i..

Hey!! Nice Threat, I am new here! I will try the files posted here because I have some Icons taken from Windows but that I cannot see in my phone.

Also wanted to tell you a tip in case you don't know, it's about Gdesk + Swiss Manager Pro!

I got both and when I restart the phone I start Gdesk and then the SM, I have the SM to reclaim memory on level 3, it will close everything but the Gdesk will still remain, then using the Ginfo tool on the Gdesk, I can see that I got 16380Kb ram free, that's after closing the Swiss Manager as it uses aroung 600kb ram.

sorry still nubi here ...
after i extract all the iphone folder inside my resource folder .. then i restart the phone, how come there is no changes at all in the menu icon ? could you advice me, or did i miss some step on it ...

check the folder name.. maybe you type in wrong.. it must be resource... just follow carefully the steps.. for sure you miss something...

Iam new here, in this great forum, and i want to ask something:
How can i make the menu of my new SE P1i look like this: ?
If someone knows how to do it, please, help me!

PS: 1) I have tried the Iphone icons por the P990i (in P1i) - posted by henz, but some icons - like messages, contacts, and calendar (im not sure) didnt change! I think this actually only happens in the P990i.

2) Sorry if my english is bad, because im portuguese

The Icons are not full.
I mean Some Icons are not changet some icons are SE default....
So that is not problem if somebody have Al Lunch icon with full replaced icons let post it here

as far as i know the 4 icons cannot be changed as of the moment... i think its photoshopped (corect me if im wrong).... there is a software that has been made to change all the UI of the phone but up to now its not been published.. actually it is working for the polish version and they are trying to make it in english version...
