robert_san6 first you have to upgrade your phone to have CID 52, for that simply use SEUS and let it upgrade the phone. You can't install a firmware with a different CID than the one on the phone, and from what i've seen you can't convert to a lower CID, for example, after going to CID52 you won't be able to go back to CID49. For me it wasn't a problem since my phone came with CID52 when i bought it (Orange Romania)

bluviper i didn't test the firmwares from shenliang, so i can't say exactly why they don't work. Maybe they use a different BIN format than what main2raw is expecting.

CAN THERE BE A WAY THAT THE K810 MAIN FIRMWARE COULD BE HACK TO SUPPORT FLASHLITE MENU? THE K790,K800,K810 IS A PERFECT PHONE THE ONLY THING IT NEED IS FLASHLITE OR IF ANYBODY KNOW IF A K810 LASTES FIRMWARE SUPPORT FLASHLITE.

i flashed my k800 to k810.,i've put the light effects. there is no problem with the light when i'm using the phone normally., but when in camera mode the keys 789 has a dim light while *0# doesn't have light., is there a new light effects to fix this

that is the way the firmware controls the k810i for some nice effect.

i have sucessfully flashed my k800i to k810i but i want to remove the SE wap links that are everywhere, i clicked the "dont upload SE wap links" box in XS++ but they are still there, does anybody know how i can get rid of them? and also the camera shutter sound if possile, thanks!

1st of all thanks for the tutorial..it is a excellent one!
sucessfully flashed, modded and reflashed without any kind of problems even a noob with the help of the tutorial can do it (just like me lol)

Jaffa-cake the SE wap links are in customize.xml file at the custom. You can edit the file and just delete them with the notepad and then save as ->all type of files->customize.xml then you can customize your fone again or just replace with Far Manager the customize.xml
with far or even with setool or xs++ 1.6.8 you can delete the camerashutter sound, think it is more easier with xs++ or Far (connect go throw the path /tpa/preset/system/sound/camerashutter4.3gp and /tpa/preset/system/sound/camerashutter4_rer.3gp and delect the files, note ..../camerashutter4.3gpp is four the 4th sound). desperately seeking k810 custom pack for generic europe 2,
I've managed to flash over the Main+FS(Europe 2_) and custom pack for medd_europe (altered custom.xml and match the CDA):
my picture service setting is not working, the internet (GPRS) not working... not dialing out. Normally you'd get a flashing globe on the top but it doesnt happen. Urgently need help? I won't be able to sleep unless i have it fixed!

any idea.. suggestions on why it's gone wrong..?

I managed to get my phone (K800i, CID52) connected with XS++ but after selecting the Main+FS files, XS++ won't let me select the "WAYIN" method. Do I need to install anything else? The program detects my phone well and i can backup my GDFS without any problems. Please advise.

did you select the "settings" button at the bottom? i didn't know those buttons changed the main page at first.... so maybe you have done the same as me?

also i have now removed camera sound and wap links and added a better camera driver with 26FPS video via FAR, now i love my phone :)

I put k810 software on my k800 + sound driver of w880, cam driver with 35 fps(If I find 25 fps I will change it but there is hardly description on camera drivers), I put light pach and almoust everyting is ok.

The only problem that I have is when I try to push right in the joistic noting happends (it shuld open video player).

I believe you need to recreate the shortcut as flashing a new firmware will delete the old shortcuts. Just go to Settings->General->Shortcuts select "Navig. key right" and there choose whatever you want it to do.

Nope, megabass is only included in the W (Walkman) series from SE. If we ever get the option to apply patches to k800/k810 then maybe we'll have a patch for that too, but until then all you can do is put an accoustic driver with a better bass (don't ask which one as i've only tried 2 or 3 accoustics so i have no idea which is better, or which includes better bass)

Sorry for answering this late, but anyways, read the tutorial again and be attentif and follow the steps exactly (look at step7.3)
The problem with XS is that it doesn't let you select a wayin until you actually connect the phone, that's why i showed in "step 7.3" that you get an error that you didn't select a wayin, but after that you can select "Settings" and choose a way in (i usually choose BreakXS, i don't exactly know what's the difference between them)
