well.. me again.. anywho, i wanted to post a very cool and fun feature of the K750i that most prob don't use or are aware of..
BlueTooth HID controls....!
What are BlueTooth HID controls, what does it do?
Bluetooth HID is basically a bluetooth human interface device (ie mouse, keyboard). The Sony K750i and K700 allow this type of connection to a PC.
So lets say you get a Bluetooth dongle for you PC/MAC, you can not only use the BlueTooth to transfer/sync your files from your pc/mac to your phone, but also you can then use that Bluetooth connection to control your PC/MAC.
The remote control options in the Sony K750/K700 will allow your phone to emulate the PC/MAC's mouse and keyboard controls.
So for me, i have a pc and a mac; however i only have one usb mouse. So what i'm doing now is using my bluetooth dongle on the Mac, and then using my cellphone as a mouse for it!
Here's a link to the Sony Developer Site on the HID Profile (lets you create custom hid control profiles for your phone).
Go to Sony Dev Page
To Use a Custom HID profile, just send the profile via BT to your phone and the phone should then put the profile in the appropriate remote control folder.
I plan to post a few of my example hid profiles (a SageTV one, PowerDVD one, and prob a prettier normal Win XP profile).
Anywho, just thought i'd share this info.. Think parties and music.. and changing the song in the next room..
peace
