First of all our apologies for the recent disruption. We have been doing our best to get the site up and running over the past few days and at the moment we have normal service again.

On Friday the 3rd we suffered a DDoS attack. The site was unavailable from Friday afternoon until Saturday evening when the site came online again. We suffered a second DDoS attack on Sunday, which took the site down until today. The second attack is still ongoing as far as we're aware so there may be further disruption.

We believe the attacks were instigated by a member here at SE-NSE. He felt he had been slighted on SE-NSE and therefore instigated a DDoS attack. We have identified a number of accounts associated with this member (now ex-member) and banned them.

ah that explains why i cant load se-nse

EDIT: can someone just clear it a DDoS attack is where loads of computers connect to the server and the server just cops out?

We aren't going to go into the exact details at the moment qwerty. We're still gathering information and trying to get as clear a picture of what has been going on as possible.

Second, maybe I can help you. I checked se-nse whois and I see it is hosted on Invision Power's host. I have account on servage.net so if it is needed i can host se-nse on it without any costs.

Whoever did this, i hope he won't do it again. I hate people doing something like this. se-nse is a great website and noone has to bring it down.

One thing that's heartened me in all of this is that people are still posting plenty and that doesn't seem to have been affected much, despite the best efforts of these immature and petty individuals.

The best way to show our defiance and spirit is to keep posting and show these small-minded people we won't be beaten!

DDos Attack is no reason to stop posting when the site is back-up,most sites are DDos attacked but this site seems to get attack alot for some reason

It isn't solved yet NovaJet, as far as we know the attack is still ongoing, hence the sluggishness of the site.
