argh! my W810i keeps displaying no network coverage. It has been like this permanently after a recent accident. I did notice that the infra red emitter had broken away from the board, but since I don't use it a lot, i figured it wasn't a priority to have it fixed.

I've tried flashing, updating firmware and so on and I have come to the conclusion of it being a hardware problem obviously...but I cannot figure out where. i checked the antenna module underneath the back cover and there doesn't seem to be any damage to it or the mainboard which is connects to. Could someone please suggest anything else which could be causing this problem? The inra red component is directly adjacent to the antenna of the phone on the reverse side of the circuit board, could this be the problem?

Try to tear it apart, maybe there is some contacts missing. or some wires that were broken or something like that when the accident happened :)

since you broke the infrared thing, i assume there's got to be some other 'casualties' too, thats causing the problem. you shud take ur phone to a service center.
