After trying out and learning alot I really need the help of some SE Gurus: I debranded my new CID49 K750i and changend sounddriver, menuelayout etc using XS++ & FAR ... But now I got stuck on editing and understandig the structure and layout of the customize.xml in the needed custompack.

I tried several unbranded, generic firmware, but I always got a blue rectangle Antenna/Reception icon with blue background, not only the more or less rising signal indicated as used in Vodafone firmwares.

For example

blue icon on the left: bad
blue icon on the right: good

I tried a generic custom pack: the blue rectangle icon on the upper lect was there.
I tried a vodafone custompack: only the rising signal was indicated.
This ment for me that the icons or the way they are displayed are somwheer in these custom packs.

So I got the idea of manipulating a a vodafone custompack with parts of a generic pack.
This went in most parts very well, I successfully got the transparent antenna icon on the left and i found a way to change customize.xml to free the shortcut on the UP-position of the joystick.

But now I got stuck: The custompack gives me in the main menue two icons named "Vodafone Life!".
Instead of PlayNow and InternetServices the first icon upper left is the green SE icon, the second is the normal 2nd in the first upper row - the World with a mobiel in front: but BOTH are named "Vodafone Life!".

Could you please help me on editing the customize.xml and custompack stuff
Can you please help me or give an advice how and where in the custompack to change the name of these two icons ?
Could you give me a hint where the blue antenna and battery icon are stored or the style they are displayed?

thank you so much,
Randolph

the blue rectangle means that ur phone is under GPRS coverage.
to change the network&battery icons, use the sysgfx patch.
use search to find it!!!

EDIT:it has nothing to do with custpacks.

THX for the hint  ... On my last phone GPRS was permanently turned off, so I didn ´t notice that this icon changes when GPRS is turned of.
great - sometimes its very simple finding a solution. Mow I will search for this sysgfx patch...
best regards,
Randolph
