I have a big problem. I think my cam button is faulty. When I press halfshutter to autofocus the autofocus box doesnt appear most of the times. When the box appears and turns green, if I click to take a pic the box just disappears and no pic is taken. I am not being able to take any pictures now because of this problem. What could be wrong with my phone? I hope i can fix it. Could someone please help.

Sounds like a button problem. Does the button register as focussing and capuring in the service menu? (To get to service menu press >*<<*<* where < and > are joystick moves to the left and right respectively)
If it doesn't then the keypad PCB which the camera button is attached to is probably faulty and needs replacing, or has moved out of place so that the external button isn't pressing the internal sensor.
In the meantime, you should be able to take pictures by pressing the centre joystick/toggle in as you would when selecting something in the menu, though I'm not sure if it'll autofocus or not. Think it does!

Hey Sammyboy,
I already tried >*<<*<* then went to service tests and keypad. Every button works perfectly except the cam button. If I click halfshutter 10 times it registers "camer focus" only once or twice. "camera capture" registers more often but when I actually try to take a photo it doesnt work. Right now my camera is useless.

I recall from hardware modifications that there was a little transparent sticky plastic thing that sat on the middleplate right under the camera button (you have to take out everything to see it), once I forgot to put that back when I was swapping my housing which resulted in the camera button not working (only autofocus worked), so im gessing that maybe that plastic bit has been misplaced or lost its stickyness and moved around.
