Hold on everyone.
I said "seems to be fixed", it wasnt 100% fixed yet. We have a lot of work to do.
When Ive tested it did works fine, but when you restart the phone, apparently the bug happens again but not fully bugged...lol
At least we can have an idea how to fix it now. Let's wait.

EDIT: in fact u should try to call your phone at least third to see if it work, as i already said i tried with transparent images and i doesn't work.

maybe we can try to reduce image size (140x60---->something else)

but I think a patch that block images would be more efficient

True. As I said before, we need a "beta patch" that blocks those images of incoming call animation. So we can test if it will work.

did you try to restart your phone after making the call? it might start crashing then.

maybe you'll find the sollution out of this situation as we seem to be very close to finding out the fix for calller id bug. if we get it right then the only problem would still be the sysgfx patch fix so that we could view pictures and use fastforward mp3 (it works with video) patch withought any problems.

i've tried the sysgfx icons posted by mr. big and the bug is still there as Dr. Uberveguad mentioned

I suggest a patch to remove those images.

At home now I did a few more tests:

2 wallpapers were used on these tests. My SENSE orange and a nice one named "CV"

Test steps:
1- Images edited: I make 1/1px black dot in center of all those images I have mentioned above. I DO NOT resize the image area (pixels);
2- I made a call. Resulting WORKS !!!
3- Phone in "snooze mode" (black screen, screensaver, whatever the name is...). Resulting NOT WORKING. The caller id shows for about 0,5 scs and its gone in short, the screen bugs again.

yep exactly the same problem. i did the same tests yesterday and got the same results that if the phone is in standby then the caller id gets messed up again after half a second
